Not all law firms are the same. Not all lawyers are the same. You deserve to be a priority, to have a say in who handles your case, and to receive quality representation regardless of your financial circumstances. Ms. Sawyer has been drawn to the practice of family law since law school. Her interest led her to work with Metro Volunteer Lawyers, assisting clients with family law filings through the Family Law Court Program. Both MVL and clients alike appreciated the time and hard work of Ms. Sawyer.
Ms. Sawyer brings that same energy and drive to the representation of her private practice clients at The Law Offices of Brenda L. Storey, P.C. She is dedicated to providing them with quality representation at her affordable associate hourly rate. Ms. Sawyer offers clients the added benefit of working with Ms. Storey, to brainstorm client cases as needed and collaborate for the benefit of each client’s individual needs. Our firm has been recognized as a Best Law Firm by U.S. News, and our founding partner a Best Lawyer, a Super Lawyer, and an invaluable attribute by clients. This is all a result of our being passionate about the practice of family law and striving to provide our clients with the best representation.
Ms. Sawyer continues to enhance the firm’s reputation, having graduated on the Dean’s List from the University of Dayton, with a degree in Political Science. For her Juris Doctorate degree, Ms. Sawyer graduated in the top 20% of her class at the Belmont University College of Law. During law school, she was active in Legal Aid Society, was a Peer Mentor, and garnered the Best Performance Award for Electronic Discovery.
Ms. Sawyer’s abilities are enhanced by her former experience as a law Clerk with the Tennessee Secretary of State, Legal Research Assistant for Professor Ellen Black at Belmont and a Legal Intern for the Nashville Predators NHL Hockey Team. Due to her desire to excel in family law and helping others who unfortunately are exposed to the legal process, Ms. Sawyer also has volunteered at Colorado Lawyers Committee-Denver Legal Night, and Family Tree, speaking with victims of domestic violence and giving them an overview of the dissolution of marriage process in Colorado. She also volunteers as a Court Appointed Special Advocate, advocating for the best interests of abused and neglected children, in court.
Ms. Sawyer is a member of the Family Law Section of the Colorado Bar Association and the Denver Bar Association. She is also a member of the Metro Denver Interdisciplinary Committee and serves on the Board of Directors for Metro Volunteer Lawyers.
